Wedelstaedt Single Ended Enamel Chisels

Crafted from surgical-grade German stainless steel, our single-ended Wedelstaedt Chisel is a versatile instrument designed for precise enamel contouring and removal of irregularities during cavity preparations. Invented by Dr. G.V. Black in the early 1900s, this instrument is ideal for:

  • Smoothing and refining enamel walls following cavity excavation
  • Removing minimal amounts of tooth structure with exceptional control
  • Accessing and eliminating residual caries or unsupported enamel
  • Contouring and defining the final margin of the cavity preparation
The Wedelstaedt Chisel can also be used for scaling and root planning. The thin, tapered blade can remove stubborn calculus deposits from beneath the gumline.
